We celebrated a huge birthday this month. Anne turned 106 in August!
Anne joined other residents in the lounge and enjoyed some musical entertainment, she had a lovely Cake and requested a glass of wine to celebrate the occasion.
After this Anne read all the residents a couple of lovely poems from her own published book. She told many stories about her time as a nurse, in the carpet shop and about the time she spent in New Zealand.
Anne wrote the peom below about her first pet dog Candy.
We also had our summer BBQ, the weather just about held out for us! We grabbed out
blankets and made the most of our BBQ food and entertainment.

The BBQ was cooked by Nellie and went down a treat by all.
Jen came and entertained us all for an hour where we enjoyed listening to all the music she had to offer.
